El disco fue publicado en 2013 con la ocasi\u00f3n del 900 aniversario del reconocimiento pontificio de la soberan\u00eda de orden sanjuanista. La veneraci\u00f3n de san Juan fue muy extendida en Europa y Bizancio desde la temprana Edad Media. Su papel particular como el heraldo del Redentor y su parentesco con Cristo y la Virgen Mar\u00eda le convirti\u00f3 en un sujeto popular en la m\u00fasica y las artes visuales.<\/p>\n<p>Con el programa de \u201cCantrix\u201d el ensemble Peregrina &amp; Agnieszka Budzi\u0144ska-Bennett recuperan la tradici\u00f3n del canto de las monjas de dos important\u00edsimos monasterios femeninos hisp\u00e1nicos: Sijena, en la Corona de Arag\u00f3n (monjas sanjuanistas) y Las Huelgas, en el reino de Castilla (monjas cistercienses).
